BU Hardship Fund
The BU Hardship Fund is a non-repayable source of support for students.Please note that EU (non-UK) and international students cannot apply for this fund. There is detailed information and guidance, including an application form, available on the BU website.
Small Emergency Grant
The Small Emergency Grant is available to all students who require very short-term assistance who have no, or very little funding available to them. The typical award is £15 which is provided in the form of supermarket vouchers, although cash awards can be issued where required. The fund is extremely limited, and criteria include, but are not limited to:

BU Emergency Loan
Essentially this is a short-term advance if your mainstream UK Government funding such as your Loan or NHS Bursary are late arriving. We can assist with day to day costs, but unfortunately due to budgetary constraints cannot assist with rent or housing. Check out the BU website for more information.

Trusts and Charities
There are educational trusts and charities that could be of assistance to you. You can search for the via the Turn2Us website. We are also aware of other trusts and charities that provide assistance based upon individual need, e.g. child involved, you or a family member has a disability. Contact us for details.
