Green Taskforce Chair Elections 2018

The SUBU Green Taskforce is made up of students who are passionate and engaged in making a change to the sustainability and the green impact the Students’ Union and BU have on the wider community. You will have an ethos for wanting to encourage all BU students to question every aspect of their life, as to how they can live it in a more sustainable way, during their time at BU and in the future.

Green Taskforce Chair

You will be expected to attend the NUS Student Sustainability Summit (usually at the beginning of November), and are expected to organise and run Go Green Week and other campaigns such as Fairtrade Fortnight.

The Chair needs to attend all Leadership team meetings, so a flexible and adaptive person is a must. As Chair, you will also be expected to attend as many events and campaigns as possible, that have been organised by your leadership team.

Benefits

  • Gain leadership training and support from student members and staff.
  • Risk Assessment Training and events management experience.
  • Developing close contacts within SUBU and the wider community.

Monthly meetings with the SUBU Community team and ongoing support throughout the year.
