SUBU encourages you to be responsible when drinking alcohol and to look after yourself and those who you socialise with. We know that alcohol consumption can have a negative impact for some people. SUBU Advice can point you in the right direction for specialist advice and support and, where necessary, advise you on relevant SUBU and BU Policies and Procedures, e.g. mitigating circumstances.

SUBU is committed to:

  • Promoting responsible behaviour on campus and in the community
  • Improving the health and wellbeing of our students
  • Creating a more inclusive environment for all students

In The Old Fire Station ‘we serve drinks not drunks’ and we have adopted the Good Night Out pledge. We are also participating in NUS Alcohol Impact Initiative in partnership with BU.
