The Green Taskforce Leadership Team is made up of the Chair, the Vice-Chair, Media and Events and Lansdowne. We are looking to elect the Leadership Team for 2018 - 2019. A new team will be elected every year, so if you are keen to do one of these roles, you will have an opportunity to run to be elected every year.
There are also, leadership roles that we will recruit positions which involves selection, shortlisting and interviews before the final choices of the successful students. These are the leadership roles that you can apply for:-
Coffee Cup Leader
Campaiging to encourage everyone to use their own reusable cups, to prevent the use of paper and wax cups, that coffee shops use, which cannot be recycled and end up in a landfill
Campaigning to help people to understand what Fairtrade is, and how we can all contribute to the initiative, and help oversea's traders out of poverty in third world countries.
Plastic Oceans Leader
Campaiging to raise awareness of the pollution in our oceans which are turning in to a plastic soup, harming the environment, and our food chain.
Fossil Fuels Leader
Campaiging against organisations, who make financial investments with other organisations, who profit from industry which plunders the Earth's natural resources, e.g., oil (fossil fuel).
Education for Sustainable Development Leader
Campaiging and lobby the university, for all courses to have sustainability units, as part of their course, and to encourage students to seek career paths with organisations who have a high standard of ethical and sustainable practice.
Ethical Food Leader
Educating people about the production of food via ethical and sustainable methods, and how to make more ethical choices about the food we eat.
